Rhein & CIE Azuga 1892 Cellars are still functional today and they have become a place to promote the culture of sparkling wine, where visitors can observe the traditional method of making sparkling wine, have the opportunity to taste it and visit the Rhein Museum. Every year, over 15,000 tourists take part in the cellar tour and tastings of Rhein sparkling wine, as is the case in Alsace, Burgundy or Bordeaux.
The Rhein Extra range is the symbol of Romania's golden age and, who knows, a celebration of a new era in the future. Served at the coronation ceremony of King Ferdinand on October 15, 1922, our winery continues the tradition of the Official Supplier of the Royal House of Romania. Rhein Extra is produced through the traditional method in the oldest establishment in Romania. An additional proof of its refinement is the fact that Rhein Extra sparkling wine was served on the famous Orient Express luxury train, which crossed Romania on its way from Paris to Constantinople.
We look forward to guiding you through the culture of the authentic Romanian wine!
