We received once more international recognition of our products’ great quality! The wines produced by The Iconic Estate winery, part of Alexandrion Group, were awarded six gold medals at the Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge 2022 competition.

The contest held in France, under the auspices of one of the most important guides dedicated to the promotion and recommendation of quality wines, reached its 5^th edition. More than 15,000 wines are registered in the 4 tasting sessions available every year, and blind tasted by Gilbert & Gaillard Tasting Committee.

Our six award-winning wines are: Hyperion Exclusive Tămâioasă Românească, 2020 - 91 Pts Gold Medal; Colina Piatra Albă Red Blend - Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, 2020 - 90 Pts Gold Medal; Byzantium Shiraz Rosé, 2021 - Gold Medal; Prahova Valley Fetească Regală, 2021 - Gold Medal; La Umbra Chardonnay, 2021 - Gold Medal and La Umbra Pinot Grigio, 2021 - Gold Medal.

At the Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge 2022 competition, the wines are classified according to their origin, quality level, product category and aroma in a tasting and evaluation according to the international 100-point scheme. Each wine receives a score based on its own qualities. It is then evaluated against all the other wines in its category entered in the competition.
