Another successful competition at the Global Masters series, the flagship series that rewards the most surprising and exquisite alcoholic beverages, has concluded. The Pinot Grigio Masters 2022 brought together master winemakers, master sommeliers, and senior buyers, who enjoyed exceptional wines produced by well-known and acclaimed vineyards from around the world.

The jury appreciated the quality of the two wines from the Alexandrion Group’s portfolio entered the competition. Hyperion Pinot Grigio 2021 and La Umbra Pinot Grigio 2021 were awarded silver medals.

All Masters competitions - whether regional or global - are judged blind to accurately capture the essential taste attributes of the wines entered the competition, without being influenced by visual appearance.

Only outstanding wines receive medals, from bronze to gold, and the Master distinction is awarded to wines that the judges judge to be exceptional. This year's jury, which ensured international recognition for all the medals awarded, included Patrick Schmitt, Master of Wine, Beverly Tabbron, Master of Wine, and Adam Porter, Master of Wine.
