Rhein & CIE Azuga 1892 CELLARS
Unlike the great Champagne houses of Europe, which traditionally built their cellars underground, the Rhein & CIE Azuga 1892 cellars were built above ground. Thick, double-layered walls and the cool mountain climate naturally created the perfect microclimate for bottle fermentation — the traditional method of crafting Romania’s very first sparkling wine – Rhein Extra, the official supplier of the Royal House of Romania since 1904.
Every bottle of Rhein Extra is perfected here through natural fermentation inside the bottle for a minimum of 12 months, in strict adherence to the traditional method. Not out of constraint, but out of unwavering conviction. Not out of rigidity, but out of an unshakable principle. Out of respect for nobility. For the finesse of detail. For the refinement of the result.
